Former England captain Kevin Pietersen wants to see more of India vs Pakistan matches and therefore, suggested an idea which can make his wish come true after the two teams locked horns in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 on Sunday night.

Pakistan made history in Dubai with the 10-wicket win, their first in any World Cup edition against India, to begin their campaign in style.

All eyes on the cricketing fraternity were glued on the blockbuster clash from start to finish, even though the contest turned out to be a one-sided affair with Pakistan breaking numerous records along the way.

Looking at the popularity of Indo-Pak cricket, Kevin Pietersen suggested both teams to play against each other every year in the shortest format that will give a chance to fans to witness these high-profile matches on a regular basis.

India and Pakistan only cricket against each other in ICC and continental (Asia Cup) tournaments due to the border and political tensions between the two nations. Sunday night’s T20I was the first Indo-Pak cricket match in over two years after the 2019 World Cup in England.

“India should play PAK every year in 3 T20s at a neutral venue over a 5 day period! 15 man squads, $15M purse for the winning team! Cities/countries/broadcasters would queue up to have that week every single year! ” Pietersen tweeted.
